nk jewel art has transitioned to the use of only recycled and or ethical gold. This means that gold I use in all my jewelry pieces is sourced from mines that employ safe, humane, working conditions and take all precautions to protect the environment. Precious metals are often problematic. Gold mines use chemicals to derive the gold from mines. this can involve the use of cyanide and or mercury. There are organizations working hard to develop processes that can replace these environmentally destructive elements from gold mining. This company supports “Mercury Free Mining” ,one such organization. In addition to monitoring the source of our metals, nk jewel art uses only ethically sourced gemstones. What does this mean? It means that we only use gemstones from sources that are committed to making gem mining,which is naturally a very dangerous and arduous profession, as safe as possible for the miners and the most environmentally sound for the whole community. Finally we also care about the conditions under which the stones are cut. Cutting gems can come with many health hazards. Respiratory problems as well as dermatological issues can cause great harm to the person who cuts the stones. It is important to this company that every step that brings you the final beautiful piece of jewelry you purchase has been carried out which attention to the most humane and environmentally sound practices possible. All of these issues mahy make the fin al piece a bit more expensive but this company believes wholeheartedly that it is worth it. nk jewel art stands by our work but we are not responsible for injury ,however unlikely, that may be incurred through the wearing or handling of our pieces.  We are also not responsible for repairing or replacing pieces that have been damaged or destroyed through inappropriate use or other instances that cannot be considered normal wear of our jewelry.
